Forward Music Project 2.0 is a world-premiere recording featuring five multimedia works for solo cello that elevate stories of feminine empowerment commissioned by Amanda Gookin, the Grammy® nominated cellist, activist, and creator of the Forward Music Project. The recording includes music by Paola Prestini, Shelley Washington, Niloufar Nourbakhsh, Alex Temple, and Kamala Sankaram, all of which were commissioned during Amanda's Artist Residency at National Sawdust in 2018-19.
